Wicker Park Penthouse

Bigane Construction was tasked with vertically combining two apartments in the heart of Wicker Park into a 3,000 square-foot penthouse coequally designed for adults and children.

The unique design features an array of playful elements, most notably a curvaceous tree house clad in reclaimed oak and elevated on metal legs. The backside of the tree house connects to a space-themed room featuring a series of tiered climbing nets that are suspended from the walls and intended to simulate a zero-gravity environment.

While the design team embraced the opportunity to have some fun, they brought balance to the functional spaces of the home through a sophisticated palette of upscale finishes.
