After purchasing a converted warehouse in Bucktown, a pair of Bigane Construction repeat clients needed help reaching their loft’s full potential. This interior design-focused project reworked an existing 4-story atrium to include a new open-riser staircase with glass railings. The simplicity of the new design allowed the authentic character of the building to shine while offering a fresh appeal. In addition to connecting levels, the atrium serves as a vertical gallery for the owner’s collection of contemporary street art. A series of entertainment and living spaces are strategically placed around the atrium to promote a dynamic user experience and an abundance of natural light.
